Hi my name is Jon and i am the business owner here at Cocktails & Games.
Our vision for 2021 is about adapting, hitting our new goals and moving forward as best as we can during these difficult times we are in. As many of you know, we are a mobile events company who provide, mobile cocktail making classes, mobile bar hire, cocktail bartender hire and now our new service, virtual cocktail making classes via Zoom. With the government restrictions we have in place, we have come to accept that the events industry will be the last to resume with bigger numbers of guests. We have now moved with the times and set our new goals . Have you set your goals for 2021?
Our 2021 Goals!
Now we all know when it comes to the end of the year we all set New Years Resolution’s. Some fade and some we hit, this is life. We have achieved our first goal for 2021 already! What was our first goal you ask…. Our NEW AND IMPROVED WEBSITE!
Do not get me wrong our old website was brilliant, but we thought it was time to update, modernise and have a shuffle around. We have now added our new virtual cocktail making class service which has been a huge hit since we started this online activity back in March 2020.
My personal New Year’s resolution is to blog more, and here I am.
One of our other major goals for 2021 is to have our new rustic mobile bars completed. These are very very nearly there and look incredible. We were highly recommended an exceptionally talented carpenter who is based in North Yorkshire and after seeing his previous mobile bar work, the distance soon was not a problem. We can not wait to showcase these very impressive mobile bars for a wedding bar hire we have booked at the end of the year (fingers crossed this goes ahead). If not, our mobile bars have already been booked into double figures for many wedding bars hires and events in 2022.
Adapting to the new ‘normal’ with our virtual cocktail making classes.
How have we adapted to the crazy times we are all currently in?
Since we have been in lockdown and in person events looking like they will be the final restriction to be lifted, we have set some goals behind the scenes. We are all in difficult times and all looking for ways to adapt to the new ‘normal’. Our online virtual cocktail making classes have kept us insanely busy to say the least. The Christmas period saw us post our virtual cocktail making class cocktail boxes all over the world. From the U.S, Canada, a snow cabin in the middle of the Slovakian mountains, Germany, Iceland, Dublin, Italy, and all over the UK. The list is endless. 353 cocktail sets to be exact.
Our cocktail boxes come fully prepared ready for the virtual cocktail making class event. This was high in demand with corporate events during the festive period. I mean cocktails and Christmas is always a winner, right?
We thought by January our online cocktail classes would slow down and we could turn our attention to our other 2021 targets… oh how wrong we were! It seems as not many are taking part in dry January this year, and why would you with the 2020 we had! The virtual birthday cocktail making classes have kept us more than busy. To date we have sent out 125 cocktail making boxes and we are only in January. Long may this continue as this is our new ‘normal’.
Conclusion…
Being as positive and staying safe is the best thing we can all practice at the moment. Hold on in there, better days are around the corner.
