Jon (me) travelled into Salisbury on Saturday evening to supply our fun cocktails and games cocktail making class for Ellie’s Hen party.
I always love it when we have bookings in this part of the woods, purely because the drive from Bournemouth into Salisbury is beautiful. Rain or shine the great British countryside is stunning. The roads are long and usually empty taking you through all the small villages on the way.
I arrived in plenty of time as per because you can never trust a sat nav in the stick lol. Luckily this farmhouse was easy to find at the end of a very bumpy road.
Ellie the Hen had no idea what she was in for as this her cocktail making class been booked as a surprise by her sister Amber. I quietly set the cocktail making class up in the kitchen for 13 thirsty ladies. Ranging from 20-80 years of age. Our cocktail making classes are for everyone young and old.
By 4:30pm the cocktail making class was good to go, yes day time drinking at its best. We like to always pair the group up with 2 to a station. This way the competitive side comes out of people.
The cocktails as ever is always chosen prior to the party, which on this case no one knew apart from Amber the organiser. We both agree this can be the most difficult part of the organising… 12 ladies agreeing on which cocktails to make from our menu is never easy.
The first cocktail we made together was the ‘Superfruit Mojito’. This is a great Cocktails and Games signature twist to the classic Mojito. Fresh raspberries, Blueberries and Pomegranate Juice being some of the ingredients. One of your 5 a day surly? After the group had made the first cocktail we hosted one of our fun games. We started with a memory game which is always a good ice breaker.
Once the ladies had laughed away we then moved on to the second cocktail which was a Strawberry Daiquiri. The second game we played was a team game of ‘flip cup with a difference’. Imagine plastic cups flying around the room and a relay race with two teams. Carnage at its best!
Finally after the two teams had battled out to win the game we moved onto the final cocktail, yep you guessed it the Pornstar Martini. Is it even a Hen party without a this cocktail?
Overall the group were great fun from start to finish. The ladies loved our cocktails and games, so much so 5 star reviews as always come flooding in. The mother has also now enquired regarding our cocktails and bars service for the big day!`
Thank you so much for having us and looking after me.
Until next time.
